SHU Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor branding location
Project for Commercial Space Design Module 2017.9-2018.1
Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor is reknown for Kaoliang, a strong distilled liquor of Chinese origin made from fermented sorghum. This brand has its long history and its target customers are mainly elder people.
In order to introduce this brand to younger generations, we decided to create an new brand from Kinmen Kaoliang. SHU敘 in Chinese means to have conversation, SHU can also mean to go on generations and to pass on the knowledge by conversation.
We want this place to be a bridge for the elders and their next generation. No matter what they are doing in this specially-designed bar, they sure can strengthen their bonds.
The idea of this design comes from the caves where the liquor is originally stock to preserve the flavors. As if the chemistry we produce when we are with our beloved ones, the cave is where the chemistry takes place.
